Cascada™ BIO-Water System: Rinse Up After Sanitization
Cascada™ BIO-Water System: Rinse Up After Sanitization

Introduction
The Cascada BIO-water System incorporates an automatic sanitization cycle to be carried out once a month to minimize bacterial counts in the unit. Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and resistivity were tested to determine the time for the unit to rinse through after the sanitization cycle.

Resistivity was greater than 18 Mohm-cm after 4 hours. TOC was within specification (< 10 ppb) after 9 hours. The TOC was < 4 ppb after 4 hours.

Method
The Cascada BIO-water System was fed with Reverse Osmosis (RO) permeate and a TOC analyzer (Anatel A100P) was connected to record TOC and resistivity values. After the sanitization, the unit was left to recirculate with the analyzer connected.
