Introduction
The Cascada BIO-water System is fed with partially purified water. It produces extremely high ultrapure water for life science applications, suitable for all molecular, pharmaceutical, and microbiological applications.
The product water comfortably exceeds the USP (24, 1.1.2000) Purified Water specification.

Method
A Cascada BIO-water System was fed with water from a Cascada RO-water System with a conductivity of 42 µS/cm and a TOC of 50 ppb C. The unit was operated intermittently and product water dispensed to simulate typical use patterns.
Conductivity and TOC were logged online using an Anatel A100P TOC analyzer. Samples were taken for bacterial analysis at various times.
Total viable counts were measured after membrane filtration and incubation at 27 °C for 5 days on R2A agar.
