The U.S. Department of Defense and a leading engine manufacturer are jointly developing a cleaner burning jet fuel that allows high temperature burning without coke buildup. The new fuel ensures thermal stability, cleaner operation, and significantly reduces maintenance costs. For maximum efficiency, the fuel must be free of water.
In a U.S. Air Force-sponsored test program, the Pall Aquasep Coalescer successfully removed "free" water from the new fuel without becoming disarmed.
Subsequent testing in the UK has upheld these results. Once the new fuel comes into general use in both military and commercial applications, the Pall Aquasep Coalescer will service a global aerospace market of enormous proportions.
