 Background

The Pall-Aquasafe Water Filter for up to 14 day use (AQ14F1S) provides sterile grade filtered water for topical use and patient consumption*. The 0.2 µm membrane protects against waterborne particulate and microbial contamination, including pathogens such as Legionella spp., Pseudomonas spp. and fungal spores.1-5 These pathogens are common contaminants of hospital water supplies6-15 and can lead to nosocomial infections16-23. To minimise the risk of inadvertent cross-contamination and retrograde contamination, the filter housing material utilises silver technology as an enhanced, non-leaching bacteriostatic additive.

  • Easy to use, convenient and cost effective: sterile grade filtered water can be produced for up to 14 days24 at the turn of a tap
  • Reliable protection for high risk and immunocompromised patients, such as transplant recipients, critically ill patients, neonates and individuals with AIDS
  • Safe water for patient protection
