Cascada™ BIO-Water System: Rinse Up After Fitting New Cartridge Pack

Introduction

The cartridges in the Cascada BIO-water System are operated in a twin-pack system. When the primary pack is exhausted, it is replaced by the pack from the polishing position and a new pack is fitted. The new pack is rinsed and allowed time to reach optimum performance.

Resistivity was greater than 18 Mohm-cm in less than 10 minutes. TOC was within specification after 4 hours.

Method

The Cascada BIO-water System was fed with Reverse Osmosis (RO) permeate, and a TOC analyzer (A100P) was connected to record TOC and resistivity values. After the new pack was fitted, the unit was left to recirculate with the analyzer connected.
