Biodyne Nylon Transfer MembranesNylon membranes offer superior performance with both radioactive and nonradioactive detection systems. Pall's Biodyne nylon membranes will not crack, shrink or tear when subjected to multiple cycles of hybridization, stripping and reprobing. These membranes are instrinsically hydrophilic for easy wetting.

Biodyne Nylon 6,6 membranes provide excellent resolution, high sensitivity, and low background. Biodyne membranes are inherently hydrophilic and do not require prewetting. These membranes are considered the "gold standard" for critical molecular biology applications such as forensic detection, and are recommended for all nucleic acid detection procedures as well as protein dot ELISAs. Four different surface chemistries are available to address a variety of applications.

PVDF Membranes

FluoroTrans®, FluoroTrans W, and BioTrace™ PVDF membranes are hydrophobic in nature and strongly bind proteins of interest. FluoroTrans membrane is recommended for protein sequencing and is compatible with all reagents involved in the Edman reaction. FluoroTrans W and BioTrace PVDF membranes exhibit low background and high tensile strength, and are the best membranes available for detection of protein after Western transfer. All FluoroTrans membranes exhibit exceptionally low burn through.
