Xpansion® Bioreactor
Xpansion Bioreactor:
The Xpansion Multiplate Bioreactor has been developed for large-scale two dimensional (2D) culture of fragile adherent cells such as stem cells. The modular design makes use of stacked polystyrene plates, which offer the same cell environment as conventional multiple-tray stacks. This innovative single-use consumable enables straightforward process transfer from these traditional technologies. The Xpansion bioreactor represents an excellent solution for adherent cell cultures to drive cell therapies to market faster while reducing cost-of-goods and maximizing safety due to the reduced number of operations needed.

SoloHill® Microcarriers
SoloHill Microcarriers:
SoloHill microcarriers offer a larger surface-area-to-volume ratio to support high adherent cell densities in suspension culture systems. Our microcarrier technology is based on a solid polystyrene core which prevents absorption of serum, cell culture products and dissociation enzymes. Microcarrier types available range from charged and/or coated carriers designed to foster cell attachment, and are available in animal protein-free formats. The polystyrene core also provides easy handling and preparation, immediate solubility, and multiple sterility options, including gamma irradiation.

PadReactor® Bioreactor
PadReactor Bioreactor:
The PadReactor family of single-use bioreactors is linearly scalable from 5 to 1,000 liters and suited for applications from laboratory scale process development to large scale GMP manufacturing. The PadReactor bioreactor incorporates a cube-shaped biocontainer design and a highly efficient mixing paddle with dynamic sparger. This enables efficient mixing at low speeds to minimize shear stress. This pioneering design is proven to be effective for cultivation of suspended cells and adherent cells on microcarriers such as the SoloHill line of solid core microcarriers.

iCELLis® Bioreactor
iCELLis Bioreactor:
The iCELLis fixed-bed bioreactor technology has been validated from bench to process for the production of viral vectors for gene therapy applications. The iCELLis system is available in two scalable platforms which include the large scale iCELLis 500 bioreactor and the scaled-down iCELLis nano bioreactor. These systems are different from any other platform for adherent cell culture such as roller bottles, cell factories or stirred-tank reactors with microcarriers. The iCELLis bioreactors contain compact fixed-bed of proprietary macrocarriers made of polyester microfibers and provide up to 500 m² of growth surface area in only 25 liters of fixed-bed. They can be inoculated at very low cell density, simplifying seed train operations with no intermediate reactor required.
