Pall Corporation’s Dr. Hongshan Li Presents New Approaches for Protein Sample Preparation and Fractionation
East Hills, NY (May 19, 2008) - - Pall Corporation (NYSE: PLL), announced today that Dr. Hongshan Li, technical lead and senior principal scientist for Pall Life Sciences, presented, “New Approaches for Protein Sample Preparation & Fractionation” at the Cambridge Healthtech Institute GOT Summit in Boston. The presentation took place on May 19 at 11:00 a.m. EST as part of the summit’s “Setting Optimized Tools for Diagnostics Proteomics Sample Preparation” track.
According to Dr. Li, the unique characteristics of Pall chromatography sorbents for protein separations are beneficial for a wide variety of applications including protein purification and sample preparation for proteomics and biomarker discovery. The coupling of ion exchange separations has expanded the application of protein depletion under denaturing conditions. Ceramic HyperD® IEX separations are highly efficient and maintain good resolution even at high speed. When strategically combined, these products provide rapid, simple methods for protein complexity reduction. Mixed-mode sorbents, including MEP, HEA, PPA, and other traditional chromatography chemistries, can also be used in combination with these products for added flexibility. Pall Chromatography sorbents are ideal for a broad range of applications, from lab-scale basic research to large-scale protein production.
