Hydrocarbon condensate, often produced along with natural gas production, is a high value product.  It will either be stabilized for safer shipment, or fractionated into propane butane, ethane.  Stabilization or fractionation occurs in columns that require effective flow and heat transfier to operate at capacity and provide effective separation.  To decrease column productivity loss, separation efficiency loss, downtime and maintenance, effective liquid water and solid removal upstream is critical for protecting against deposits and corrosion. Filters

In prefiltration applications prior to the liquid/liquid coalescer, Ultipleat® High Flow filters, Profile® Coreless filters, and Marksman™ filters ensure long life of the coalescers and eliminate particulate fouling of the stabilizer/fractionator  columns.

 

Pall filters are available in a range of absolute and nominal rated filter elements to reduce suspended solids to <5 ppmw, keep the process equipment clean, and reduce related fouling issues.

 

The Ultipleat® High Flow Filter is a large diameter, coreless, single open ended, pleated cartridge with an inside-to-outside flow pattern. The filter's unique crescent-shaped pleat geometry, combined with its large 152.4 mm (6 inch) diameter and proprietary range of available Pall filter media, allows you to use significantly fewer filters and smaller housings for high flow rate applications. Systems can handle up to 115,443 lpm (30,500 gpm).

 

The Ultipleat® High Flow Filter offers many benefits, including a smaller filter system with up to 40 times fewer elements to change out vs. 2.5” O.D. commodity filter element designs by providing higher flow rates per filter cartridge – up to 1900 lpm (500 gpm)Elements are available in 508 mm (20 inch), 1016 mm (40 inch), 1524 mm (60 inch) and 2032 mm (80 inch) lengths. Coreless, all plastic construction minimizes waste disposal, and absolute rated filter media provide reproducible performance. The in-to-out filter flow configuration means all debris stays within the filter. High filtration efficiency, reproducible performance, easy change out of filter elements , and long filter service life are key features of this superior filter.

Coalescers

High efficiency PhaseSep® liquid/liquid coalescers reliably meet "clear and bright" product specification and <20 ppmw downstream per Aqua-Glo measurement to maximize salt and water removal. These options offer excellent process equipment protection from brine-initiated corrosion and fouling.

 

AquaSep® XS or AquaSep EL liquid/liquid coalescers provide safe and reliable production of hydrocarbon liquids by protecting stabilizer columns from brine-initiated corrosion and fouling. High efficiency specially formulated coalescer media for separating stable liquid mixtures makes these coalescers a superior solution for end users.
