Centrisep® Engine Advanced Protection System (EAPS) for MIL Mi-24/Mi 25/Mi 35 Series Helicopters

Fit and Forget Engine Protection

The MIL Mi-24/25/35 helicopter is a military attack helicopter which can also be used for military troop transport. It is currently flown by defense forces around the world in a range of environments, including African desert operations.

The “fit and forget” Centrisep EAPS is an ideal solution for such challenging conditions. It shields the engine inlet from airborne contamination, resulting in:
  • Safer operation (protection against sand and dust, FOD, ice, and snow)
  • Increased operational availability
  • Enhanced protection against engine erosion
  • Reduced maintenance and operational costs
 
On the Mi-24/25/35, the unit consists of two modules, scavenged by electrical fans, installed in front of the engine air intakes.

For this helicopter, Pall Aerospace has partnered with ATE Aerospace (ATE), a specialty systems integrator who is also a fully-registered Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO). Maintenance

The Centrisep EAPS is a “fit and forget” system; there are no inlet barrier filters to replace or clean.  As with all aircraft equipment, routine visual inspection is recommended. In case of damage, please refer to the Component Maintenance Manual, available through Pall Aerospace.

The Pall Centrisep EAPS solution is an environmentally friendly alternative to oil-wetted barrier filters. There is no filter replacement and no daily cleaning as with oil-based solutions which are difficult and expensive to dispose of.
